Lauren Kilberg of DoubleTakes always has the best finds, and most of them are travel related. Today I was catching up on her blog and came across this fun video, "The Bearable Lightness of Packing" showcasing the nomadic, yet stylish travel perspective of Diane von Furstenberg. My favorite line is, "Be ready for anything at any time." The illustrations are wonderful too.
Here is my own guide to packing, and don't miss Lauren – who is now based in South Korea – on Boarding Pass!
P.S. Did you know Americans lose $34.3 billion a year in unused vacation days? What a shame!

ah see I think the best line in that video is "if pack lightly, you live lightly". Great video!
To add to Lindsay, "if you can figure out your suitcase, you can figure out your life". Where was DVF a few months ago ??? Love it!
charming video. I'm guilty of overpacking every.single.time. I travel. I'll figure it out one of these days.
Awesome video, and I will be attempting to "live lightly" next time in France!
That was great! Traveling is life.
Thanks, lady!
Your words about Double Takes made me grin ear to ear. Thank you. I can't even count how many times I've watched this view now.
Oy. That's so depressing about the lost vacation days.
Between her husky voice and the adorable illustrations (not to mention the genius lines at the end), there is so much to love about this video. A great find!
(And that news about the $34.3 billion is terrible but unsurprising. Yet another reason why I quit the rat race to travel and write full-time.)
Glad to have found this sweet blog!
Well, it seems that life is about packaging all the best in a wonderful suitcase!
Regards,
Antonio
