Dinner and a Movie
Why go to an over-priced, over-air conditioned movie when you have all these fun options???
-
AVAM’s Flicks on the Hill: sit on Federal Hill Thursday nights with a picnic dinner and free give-aways (for “E.T.” they handed out Reece’s Pieces-how cute!). Movies are all inspired by the theme of the current show “Home & Beast.” The museum is free and open to the public from 5-9pm on movie nights (movies start at 9pm). TONIGHT make “visionary beasts” (free!) in the classroom pre- “Edward Scissorhands.” [On deck: “The Freshman” (Aug 2), “Field of Dreams” (Aug 9)].

- Travel back in time and check out Bengie’s Drive-In, which has been around for over 50 years and sports the largest screen on the east coast. [Now showing: “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” and “Live Free or Die Hard”].
- And if you find yourself looking for a Drive-In in Los Angeles anytime soon, Vineland Drive-In is the place for you (look for the swap meet too). Tune your car radio to the designated station, and enjoy the show!
