Happy Travels
Earlier this week Lara of Cool Travel Guide posted about the traffic hazards in Thailand (2nd post here). It made me reflect about my own traffic adventures. Vietnam [above] came to mind first. When we first arrived we had a lesson on how to cross the street. Look left, look right, look left, repeat. Whatever you do, maintain a constant speed; if you change your speed you will surely be hit. [Think squirrel!].
As we enter the craziest travel weekend of the year, and hearing about the massive accident on 95 that completely had cars in a stand-still for 3 hours yesterday, this holiday season I am thankful for the fact that my holiday travel includes an hour train ride down to Virginia. Safe travels to all and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Crossing the street in Ho Chi Minh is crazy! One of the reasons I decided against living there was because the roads freaked me out- I was so stressed every time I crossed a major street. -X
