On the Move
Two of my favorite downtown stops are moving, so I updated the Google Map from our D*S Baltimore Design Guide. The timeless classic Wm. Baumgarten for custom stamps moves a bit north to 1305 St. Paul Street. And my favorite part of my daily walk – seeing the vintage posters in the window of the Craig Flinner Gallery will be no more, as they’re off to Hampden (1117 W 36th St).
And while Google Maps are super fun to explore (hint: click on the one above, it’s interactive and you can see pictures I’ve taken of my favorite places), so is this map of Lonely Planet TV destination guides. You can watch my blog-friend and trusted-traveler Lara Dunston on Brussels, and her husband Terry on Lisbon in action. The video shorts are the perfect taste of a place, with fun insider tips that make you want to hop on the next plane out of town. Lara’s blog is the best place for worldwide show and tell, and simultaneously gives you amazing insight into the life of a travel writer. I don’t know how she and Terry keep up, but I love that I can travel vicariously through them!

Thanks for the tip on the Google maps – I’ve been thinking of using them & am going to give them a try, especially for things around Bristol. Also have just taken possession of my son’s rarely used video camera & starting a whole new adventure in the world of Video clips.

Maybe you’d like my favourite vintage poster from the Imperial war museum – keep mum, she’s not so dumb. I have it on my desk at work.

I have to say, I’m really happy to have Craig Flinner in Hampden, for purely selfish reasons. Welcome to the neighborhood!
