You Are Here

You Are Here [personal geographies and other maps of the imagination] by Katharine Harmon may just have to become my new bible. Jam packed with fascinating maps of all varieties, it was an incredible resource for inspiration this weekend at my MICA map-making workshop. You’ll have to pick up a copy to believe me, but I promise you won’t be disappointed.

While you’re going to have to wait to see what cartographic creations I cooked up at the workshop (it’s still very much a work in progress), check out classmate Alison’s imaginary maps on Etsy [above]. After a rousing Saturday night spent watching Enchanted, maps of imaginary locations only seem appropriate.
