{flags of Cambodia and Thailand}

As much as I travel and much as I don’t keep my love of travel a secret, it still boggles my mind when people as me questions such as the one I got last week, “Why are you going to Thailand?” The shock is never on the place I’m going, but why I’m going at all. As far as I’m concerned, you never need an excuse to travel. But here are just some of the posts that helped inspire this trip:

  • Yes, Playground is closed! I was looking forward to visiting this store when I arrived in Bangkok in March.
    However, there is a groovy little lounge nearby that plays some of the best jazz I’ve heard in a long time.

    Enjoy your trip!

  • I have never been able to understand that perspective, either. I have ALWAYS wanted to travel and I feel sorry for the people who don’t want that, because I’d rather want to travel and not be able to than not want to travel at all.

    Have a fantastic trip — I can’t wait to hear about it.

  • I often get asked that same question and am always baffled. sigh. Have a fantastic trip! These are 2 amazing destinations. I’d love to return to both.

  • Ugh, Playground’s closure still depresses me. When I arrived here, it was one of my favorite spots for some window-shopping. -X

Thailand is one of the most amazing country I have got to live in. Food is great, fashion is amazing, and I am not even talking about people or handcrafts: beautiful!!! Have a good time :)) Marie
