Happy Design Week!
Happy National Design Week! . . . In celebration, I spent all weekend at MICA attending a wonderful conference, Social Studies: educating designers in a connected world. I so rarely get to be in that kind of environment these days, I seriously was grinning the entire time as I absorbed all sorts of wonderful new knowledge. I’ll be sharing much more in the days to come, so stay tuned (and also look out for a slight update to the look of this blog) – it’s good stuff. In the mean time, check out the nominees from the National People’s [Choice] Design Awards [a selection pictured above]. Click here to view them all, nominate others and VOTE.
P.S. Check out this map to find design events happening all month in your city.

wow, thanks for the heads up… umm seems like the longer one is a designer, the easier it becomes to miss things like “National Design Week”… Really looking forward to your posts on the Social Studies conference. My nagging suspicion that the design world has moved out of NYC to Baltimore is steadily being confirmed…
