FEED
Happy Holidays to all! I’m off wandering the streets of Panama – in a not so white Christmas – in my new pair of Toms. As we practice the act of receiving today, I thought a “giving” post was only appropriate. In addition to shoes (btw, they are almost to their goal of 30,000 shoes for their next drop in Ethiopia), TOMS has found other ways to give back to those in need. The purchase of a FEED bag has a two fold goal: raise awareness of hunger around the world and proceeds also go to feed and educate a child during an entire school year. Kudos to Toms!

Oh I bought one of these Feed bags when I was in NYC in July… I love it! I feel very ethical and politcally correct (even though the world’s most UN-politically correct Presidents’ daughter created them, poor girl being related to such a maniac)!
But you wouldn’t believe, they have just come out over here (Australia) in one store and they’re charging like $60 dollars for ONE! Craziness!

Which Tom’s did you get, Anne? I love the brown and white striped ones as well as the lemon-lime fade.

The ash/gray ones so they’d go with everything. Come spring I may venture for a stripped pair. I kind of wish some of the kid patterns came in adult sizes ;)

I love my polka dotted ones (http://blogs.nationalgeographic.com/blogs/intelligenttravel/2008/09/light-on-your-feet.html) – and they’re great for traveling. Glad you got yourself a pair Anne! The bag is very cute.
