India Observed
Two years ago this month my parents did an extensive tour of India. On Thanksgiving it was to surreal to hear about the Mumbai attacks only to find out that my parents had stayed in one of those hotels, spent time in the train station and seen a Bollywood movie in the theater – all which were attacked. Even in this big world of ours, it’s amazing how small it can be sometimes.
On a lighter note, I’ve heard wonderful things about the new Bollywood movie Slumdog Millionaire and can’t wait to check it out.
{thanks for the images, mom!}

Great post, thanks for sharing. I’ve always wanted to go, someday (sigh) someday.

Life sure has a funny way of relating experiences & events for people, doesn’t it?
Aside from the horrific attacks, the photos are beautiful. The top one actually reminds me of an area of Marrakech.

This is such a sweet article about the everyday heroes during the attack: http://www.nytimes.com/2008/12/02/world/asia/02heroes.html?emc=eta1
