Blob’s Park
On my I Heart My City: Baltimore list, Blob’s Park hands down made my list as the best place to go dancing in Baltimore. It was devastating news last year to hear that this beloved polka hall (a serious blast to the past, and, no, I don’t really know how to polka), Blob’s Park was closing. The Jessup, Maryland institution had been run by the Blob family since it was first opened in 1933 by Max Blob – its closing was the end of an era. So to hear that Blob’s had reopened in January (new management, same polka flavor) was the best news a girl could hear. And I was especially honored when Kevin emailed me to see if I would mind if they used one of the images I took during my last visit there for the header of their new website (for anyone who has ever been to Blobs, it’s quite fitting). Click here to start planning your next/first visit!!!

I *heart* Blob’s! I have only been once, but what fun! Congrats on the header image.
