Boisbuchet + SVA Italy
I’ve always had a soft spot in me for learning. In college I did summer school (more for fun than out of necessity – even taking a class after I graduated!), I have a Master’s degree under my belt, I’ve taken continuing education classes at MICA, and this spring I’m taking my first class through the JHU Odyssey program. But more than anything, for the past few years I’ve been dying to take a class at Boisbuchet. The 6-10 day workshops range from jewelry to architecture, movement, art and graphics and take place in the beautiful countryside of the Poitou-Charente region in southwestern France, and are put on in cooperation with the Centre Georges Pompidou and Vitra Design Museum. My friend Lisa attended several years ago and spoke very highly of it (don’t worry, classes are in English), but recommended taking a class in a subject you don’t know anything about.
This SVA program in Italy looks fantastic too! A little more intensive, but great opportunity nonetheless. Classes with Steven Heller and Louise Fili abroad -how cool! {thanks, Steven!}
Know of any other great summer programs worth checking out??
