With maps on my mind today, I couldn’t resist posting these animals composed of maps of the world I just spotted on NotCot. The project – Piece Together for Peace – by Graflex Directions, grew out of the question of what we can do to unite the world together and creates the animal signs of the Japanese Zodiac using the world map. The graphics were originally created for a series of greeting cards to show gratitude and wish happiness and well-being to the recipient. Very clever. I can only imagine how long that took!
