The World According to France
As France continues to make headlines and is in their third day of strikes (the government wants to raise the retirement age from 60 to 62), I thought this map of “Europe According to France” by illustrator Yanko Tsvetkov, aka AlphaDesigner was an appropriate visual to post. Click here to view full size, here to buy a print, and don’t miss more from Yanko “mapping stereotypes” series. {Thanks, Michelle!}

These maps are really funny, but I would take issue with Yanko’s perception that the US sees the Netherlands as “Sodom”; I think they perceive it exactly as the French do, unfortunately.

Love it. Great concept & I saw he sell shirts as well…
And aah well, living in “Sodom” or “Weedcountry” is pretty good actually…. And really, we do have more than that (like cheese and clogs ;-)

These are brilliant, but kind of sad… I love the “Europe according to the US” one where the UK is labeled “Mummy…”
