Branding Nature
When it comes to branding, I definitely go for the less is more mentality, and break away from the cookie cutter way of leaving your mark. Clearly these days I’m loving type on images. I just came across this beautiful project by Nicole Meyer called Branding 10,000 Lakes which takes a fresh look at the branding of lakes, which typically have less than attractive logos (to put it nicely). Nicole’s plan is to create a new logo for a different Minnesota lake each day. As she notes, it will only take 27 years to hit them all at this rate. It was so hard to pick my favorites – click here to see them all!

P.S. If you’re in Paris, don’t forget Paris Design Week is still on in full force!

Oh! They are beautiful! I love the one with the grass and the duck. I like how it uses the movement of the grass to make it seem almost as though the duck is flying. Brilliant.

Gosh Anne these are amazing. I would love to be able to design something like that. I’m in love with the Lake Irene one!

I think these are gorgeous – it reminds me a bit of the State branding project… did you see that?
