Paris Address Book
Habitué is the French word for “regular.” For this guide I wanted to create a resource of my favorite places in the city that I find myself frequenting the most (it’s part cheat sheet for myself when trying to figure out where to take my friends when they visit – I have 3 here this week, for a total of 7 this month!). You’ll notice that there aren’t that many restaurants on the list (not eating out is how I afford to live here), so you can trust that anything I do list is pretty budget friendly. For other guides I’ve written, check out the Design*Sponge city guide, Frugal Paris, a Paris design tour, Amèlie’s favorite addresses, where to stay in Paris, Paris by season, and the Tour de France arrondissement project (with the help of fellow Paris bloggers). Enjoy!

Thanks, Sam! It was a few months in the making – a draft I kept adding to. My visitors were the perfect excuse to finish it :)

Great list! Many find themselves on my personal list too, although I would pass over Chartier – service is bad, food is mediocre. People go for the decor and the price but I don’t think it’s worth it!

Bookmarks –> Paris –> Add –> Save. This is a super duper list Anne! Well done for taking the time to do it (my Paris guide I’ve been promising is still in the making). Belle journée!

As Lindsey says Chartier is definitely about the experience over the food, but everyone I’ve ever taken as loved it and the price is right. And I love sometimes when you’re put at a table with strangers – one once recognized my friend visiting from Baltimore (small world!). I’ve always enjoyed the service when there – like how they write what you order on the tablecloth.

Unfortunately Petit Usagi in the 10th arrondissement turns out to be closed down. Tried to have lunch there yesterday, but no luck. Their menu looked so tasty though!
We finally ended up having a late lunch at Fuxia (http://fuxia.fr), which you probably know (as they are also in the rue des Martyrs). Quite okay, but slow service.
Bon appetit!

My list would look very much the same…Rue des Martyrs is one of my favorite streets in Paris.
