Summer in Nice
This morning I made a bold decision to leave my Paris apartment without a jacket, seeing as it’s the middle of July. It was a definite mistake, and I was cold. So to start of today I thought I’d share a few pictures from Nice where I was last Thursday and Friday; and where it was perfect, warm and actually felt like summer. I was invited down to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Hotel Negresco [pictured above], which I’ll be sharing more of very soon. In the meantime, see my post and pictures here from my January visit – it’s such a fantastic, unique place with original style. Of course I’ll be sharing loads from Copenhagen too. Last week was a big travel week!

I’ve love both Nice and Paris but in very different ways. They are very different cities. Almost everything about the cities is different: architecture, accents, the weather, the people, style, even the pace of life.

You could try Washington DC. We have had 100 plus degree weather for almost a week, with related power outages due to a terrible storm. Cold weather sounds pretty good to me.

I’m in Paris right now and yes it’s been a little chilly. But like Marilyn said it’s been so hot on the east coast of the US that this Paris chill has been a welcomed change.
