Negresco Style

Hopefully you got a bit of a sense of the fabulousness of hotel Le Negresco from yesterday’s post (& video). Emma and Chloé from Caught the Light and I are already dreaming of having a photoshoot there one day. Seriously every corner you turn and room you enter feels like you’re entering a different world, and it’s a living art gallery at the same time. With a style all its own (and I didn’t even include the glitter tubs in blue, red, gold or silver – they don’t photograph all that well – and the breakfast room that feels like you’re inside a carousel), I had to share a bit more inside.

Each floor has its own lobby area ranging from Napoleonic era to African art – and sometimes mixed. The carpet which was designed to be a walkable work of art runs throughout the public areas on each level.

A lounge area on one of the floors.

Beds fit for a king or queen.

Or maybe two princesses.

The detailing is everywhere.

The lobby is grand.

The ceiling and chandelier in the grand salon are rich.

The protruding heads on the main level bathroom doors are awesomely creepy. (Go see for yourself!)

There is a room named after Versailles, with one of only a few copies of this painting of Louis.

And the bar is classic.

“My” yellow room.
